Cons
- •This TV is very heavy, making moving and installation challenging; professional help or at least multiple people are recommended, especially for wall mounting.
- •Some users have experienced issues with the Samsung TV app system, such as the last used app auto-launching with no option to disable it.
- •HDD video playback is limited, with some older video formats not supported as they were on previous models.
- •A few units reportedly encountered a severe problem where video stops displaying but audio continues, with customer service often unable to resolve it beyond offering refunds.
- •Sound quality is great, but many recommend adding a soundbar for the full audio experience.
- •Limited flexibility in disabling pre-installed apps may annoy power users who dislike intrusive software.
- •Weight and size make handling and mounting more complex compared to smaller models.
Bottom Line
The Samsung 65-Inch Neo QLED QN90F offers stunning picture quality with excellent brightness, vivid colors, and effective anti-glare performance, making it a fantastic choice for bright-room viewing and gaming. Its AI-enhanced upscaling and immersive sound with Dolby Atmos elevate the overall experience. However, be prepared for the heavy unit’s challenging installation and some software quirks that might frustrate those wanting more customization or robust legacy playback options. For those prioritizing ease of installation or less software intrusion, considering slightly smaller or different smart TVs could be worthwhile, but if picture and sound finesse are top priorities, this model shines bright.
